TRANSCRIPT – F*ck Yes Or F*ck Off!
In a conscious relationship, the only acceptable answer to any invitation from your partner is:
FUCK YES!!!

I speak to people all the time and one of the most common things I hear is how one partner is more game than the other.
And somehow, we’ve come to think—we’ve been conditioned to think—that it’s normal to be in a constant push-pull with your partner.
That it’s your job—or their jobs—to convince, cajole, probe and entice them to grow with you.
It’s not.
They’re either in.
Or they’re out.
This comes down to the kind of relationship you want.
Most people don’t know anything other than the “commitment to stagnate together” kind.
They don’t know what they don’t know.
And this is why I say that you can invite them.
You can set this out at the beginning of a new relationship, talking about what you want and how you see relationships.
If you’re initiating a change in the status quo—meaning you now want to change from “stagnant relationship” to “growing relationship”—then you issue your invitation.
It’s fair that the other person may need a beat to process what you’re asking for.
You’ve had a mutual commitment to stagnation for years—or even decades.
And now you want to change that.
So you give them a moment to contemplate this.

I train myself for Fuck Yes! moments through surfing.
So much of surfing is positioning yourself to be in the right place at the right time.
And then having the kohones to GO!
Sometimes you have to move around to catch the wave.
Sometimes, if you are in the right spot, it comes right to you.
But YOU have to go.
When you’re surfing small waves, there isn’t much of an internal debate on this.
With larger waves—what we call “waves of consequence” that’s where all your training and preparation come to pass.
A few years ago, I was out with my surf coach.
I hadn’t surfed in a few weeks.
A couple of waves came through and I pulled back on both of them.
I looked at them and thought I wasn’t in the right spot to make them.
After the second time, my coach looked at me and said “Kim, you could have made both those waves.”
I didn’t really think so, but… I trusted him.
The next wave the came through, I committed and went for it.
I was a bit “late” as they say, but I was going, no matter what.
And I made it.
Not only did I make it, but because the timing was a bit more critical, I was in a faster, more powerful section of the wave.
I thrust my hand out into the wall to steady myself and had an amazing ride.
I came out it stunned and excited and blown away.
It was a wild ride.
But more than that, I committed. I went for it. And I made it.
And this is what mattered so much. I showed myself and felt through my bones and cells the power of commitment.
Of going all in.
Of not even allowing for a slight chance of hesitation or failure.
Fuck all that.
In that moment, I broke through my own self-belief AND my own skill level.
“New level unlocked.”
The next wave that came, I turned around straight away and went for it.
And the next.
And the next.
I made every single one.
As soon as I’d paddle back from one wave, there would be another perfect, rideable wave right in front of me.
I’d turn and catch it and did that literally 35 times.
Which is unheard of.
In an average surf session, you’d get 5, maybe 10 waves in an uncrowded spot.
I had over 30.

Somewhere around 35 waves, I started falling off the board because I I’d had no rest at all.
I was cycling through again and again and could barely catch my breath.
But I’d decided that I was going to say Fuck yes to every wave.
And what happened, is that they kept coming.
I’d tapped into the flow and it wasn’t stopping.
So long as I kept riding it.
Now when I surf, I always say yes, even when I think I might be tired and I need a rest.
Can’t say no to the flow.
Or it stops.
I’ve done that—passed on a wave because I’d just come back from a screamer and thought maybe I should rest a beat.
I let that wave go by and then there suddenly are no more waves.

Sexually, this is the deeper orgasmic threshold that’s available to women.
She comes to a precipice where she has to JUMP into the abyss.
It feels scary and uncertain and like anything could happen.
Spiritually speaking, it’s the moment of tossing the ego, the known and being willing to die.
